If you need a seat a little larger than normal, this one is great. Very comfortable, but the plastic on the bottom will not stand up to abuse. But, then again, most beach cruiser seats don't take much abuse. I'm 220 with a large rear, and it was great as my first seat, no pain at all, while I got in shape on the bike. Now after a month, I'm mostly riding singletrac mountainbike trails, so had to find a skinny gel seat. I have tried at least a dozen bike seats over the past ten years. This is the best. I LOVE it. Usually when I ride bikes I start squirming after a few minutes. After the bike ride I am in pain. I've tried several different styles, shapes, materials and had almost given up hope that there was a bike seat for me.

I am a middle-aged woman with a Downtube folding bike. I ride for recreation, I only ride in the summer (we have snow on the ground all winter) and do NOT want to be in pain while riding In fact, last summer I only went for a couple of bike rides because of my low tolerance for BEHIND PAIN. This seat is cushy, wide (to fit female "butt bones") and also has springs. I am in no pain while I ride. When I hit a bump, it doesn't hurt. We do a lot of off-road/dirt road riding. Nothing punishing, just out in the woods. It is nice not to wince after bumps.
