We just bought this bike for our [...] year old daughter and it's perfect for her. Our daughter was too big for a 16" bike but not yet strong enough to depend on hand brakes. The combination of hand brakes for practice, and coaster brakes for piece of mind is perfect. The bike is well made, and easy to put together.
